Welcome to the Empathy Web Platform (EWP)!
Developed by the ERUDiTE Project consortium, EWP is designed to support medical and allied health students in understanding, measuring, and strengthening empathy—an essential skill in both academic and clinical settings.
Our platform provides scientifically grounded tools to assess empathy levels and helps prevent challenges such as empathy fatigue, compassion fatigue, and burnout. It also offers valuable insights into academic entitlement, a factor shown to be negatively associated with perceived empathy—particularly its affective component.
If you are feeling emotionally exhausted, less motivated, or increasingly indifferent to others’ emotions and needs, EWP is here to support you. The platform offers:
- Self-assessment tools to better understand your empathy profile
- Information on community resources available in participating countries
- Clear answers to frequently asked questions about empathy and academic entitlement
- Access to the Empathy Manual, featuring evidence-based information on empathy assessment, its role in academic and clinical practice, and therapeutic interventions designed to enhance it
EWP provides a secure and confidential environment where you can explore resources, complete self-assessments, and share your experiences.
We invite you to take advantage of these tools and to share your feedback—your voice helps us grow and improve.
Disclaimer: This is not a clinical diagnosis. It is an evaluation of your self-report of the questionnaires you filled in. It is only an estimation of your empathy and self-entitlement status.
